BIOGRAPHY

In the mid 80’s I worked for the Martha Wetherbee Basketshop in Sanbornton learning Shaker ash basket basics and then alone for nearly ten years in my studio perfecting material processing and control, technique and formulas.

I was juried into the Sandwich Home Industries in 1996. The Sandwich shop, opened in 1932, started the fine craft movement that is now known as the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen. In 1997, I was state juried into the League where I am also now a member of the standards committee and a basket juror.

Today I have a comfortable studio at the family farm in Sanbornton on a dirt road just yards away from my driving horse where my dog and cat can walk to work with me from the home Dave and I built in the woods on the “back 40”.
